Sydney FC Foundation Raises Over Half A Million Dollars

Sydney FC Foundation’s Annual Dinner at Allianz Stadium has raised an amazing figure of over $500,000 to support the club’s charitable and community programs as well as future initiatives.

The night was hailed as a huge success, with guests enjoying an unforgettable evening hosted by acclaimed presenters Peter Stefanovic and Tara Rushton. 

The dinner was supported by a star-studded guest list, with some of the most recognisable faces in Australian football and beyond in attendance, including Sydney FC owner Alina Barlow, Captains Rhyan Grant and Natalie Tobin, boxing star Tim and Aleksandra Tszyu, Sky Blue legend Alex Brosque, designers Terry Biviano and Blainey North, as well as Sydney FC Head Coach Ufuk Talay.

Funds raised on the night will go directly towards the Sydney FC Foundation’s projects, which focus on providing life-changing opportunities through football. 

They include Sydney FC Empowers Me, the Sky Blues’ disability sports program in schools and communities, the Sydney FC Powerchair Program, and the Sky’s Her Limit Program, which ensures that girls can access the wellbeing benefits of sport through sustained participation.

Jenny Abood, Chair of the Sydney FC Foundation, said: 

“On behalf of the Foundation, I want to thank every single donor and supporter who contributed on the night. 

“From the generosity of those who gave to the spirited bidding during the silent auction, the commitment shown to our cause was truly inspiring. 

“These funds will directly benefit our Foundation’s projects, which are making a real difference in people’s lives.  

“People can still donate and help create opportunities, build stronger communities, and support football’s ability to change lives for the better.”
